Ijaz Ahmad Awan is a Director at Western Worldwide overseeing the Middle East and Africa region. A retired Wing Commander with 30 years of distinguished service in the Pakistan Air Force, he has held senior command and staff appointments across operations, human resource development, public administration, flight safety, quality assurance, and policy implementation. He played a lead role in establishing the Pakistan Air Force's Human Resource Development Secretariat and served as Group Testing Officer and Deputy President at the Inter-Services Selection Board, evaluating over 9,700 candidates for the armed forces. He is a Pakistan Air Force Staff College graduate and holds a BSc in Aero Sciences from PAF Academy Risalpur, an MSc in War Studies from the National Defence University, and an MS in Project Management from Air University, with certifications in Human Resource Development, Leadership, Quality Assurance, Flight Safety, and Safety Management Systems. He currently also serves as Vice Chairman of PIK Airlines, overseeing business planning, licensing, and corporate agreements. At Western Worldwide, he brings this operational, regulatory, and business-development experience to the company's growth across the Middle East and Africa.
